The 95/96 season was an iconic one for Leeds United and Prem fans of the 90s. The signing of Ghanaian Striker Tony Yeboah from Eintracht Frankfurt (£3.4 mill) in January 1995 would leave a lasting memory in Prem league history.
Way before hashtags, viral videos and the word techy Yeboah set the Prem a light with 2 goals worthy of trending (I’m sure they are now! Go youtube them now if you've never seen them) A stunning Volley at home against Liverpool gave Leeds a 1-0 win at Elland road. A month later in a 4-2 away win at Selhurst Park he’d get a hat-trick against Wimbledon (reformed as AFC Wimbledon) and score another world class volley. A player that definitely helped improve the team, Yeboah would score 19 goals in all comps and help leeds reach the league cup final.
Unfortunately they would lose to Aston Villa 3-0. An iconic shirt in its vintage like design, but made even more iconic by the man on the back.
The shirt, name, and number are all in excellent condition.
