Germany reached the Euro 2008 final but came Runners-up to a Spain side at the beginning of their dominance in world football for the next few years. Despite the defeat this side was full of talent that would eventually be a part of the 2014 World Cup winning team.
Players such as the eventual World Cup winning captain Philipp Lahm,Per Mertesacker, Bastian Schweinsteiger and legendary bagsman Miroslav Klose were some of the players to press on for the country's future success.
