This is an interest strip as A.C. Lumezzane competed in the Serie C2 and Serie C1 from 1993-2014. (C1& C2- 4th and 3rd highest football leagues in Italy). The club was relegated to Serie D in 2017 and the following year would face relegation again. This resulted in the club folding.
Interesting fact Italian enigma Mario Balotelli was a graduate from Lumezzane. No matter what opinion we have about ‘Super Mario’ he’s won the CL, Prem, FA Cup, Serie A and Coppa Italia Lumezzane should be proud of what they helped produce.
